Welcome to the Race to Ribbon Sponsorship, an exciting new initiative from New Start Standardbreds! Our mission is to showcase the versatility, athleticism, and heart of the Standardbred horse in the show ring, and we’re doing just that by partnering with talented horse and rider teams across multiple disciplines in the 2025 show season.

ABOUT THE SPONSORSHIP

The Race to Ribbon Sponsorship will support chosen horse and rider partners who compete regularly in open breed shows, helping them shine in the ring and promoting the Standardbred’s abilities beyond the racetrack. We will sponsor riders who participate in more than four shows in a calendar year, ensuring ongoing visibility for these amazing horses.

Each sponsored rider will be actively competing with their Standardbred in various disciplines. To highlight the breed's adaptability, one rider from each major discipline (such as Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, Western Gymkhana, Endurance, and one other chosen discipline) will be chosen to receive sponsorship for the calendar year.

​SPONSORSHIP BENEFITS

Our sponsored riders will receive financial and promotional support throughout their show season, including:

• Assistance with entry fee coverage for a minimum of four shows in 2025.

• Sponsorship products (such as branded gear) to represent New Start.

• Exposure through our social media platforms and website.

​RIDER REQUIREMENTS

As part of the sponsorship, we ask that our Race to Ribbon sponsored riders help promote Standardbreds by sharing their unique journey. Riders will be required to:

• Provide show day blogs or vlogs that capture their experiences and progress.

• Offer insight into their training routines and competition days to showcase their horse’s development and successes.

• Allow these materials to be used as promotional content to engage our audience and highlight the capabilities of Standardbreds in diverse disciplines.

HOW TO APPLY

If you're a dedicated rider of a Standardbred and actively compete in open breed shows, we want to hear from you! Applications for the Race to Ribbon Sponsorship are open now, with one rider selected from each discipline to represent the Standardbred community. This is a fantastic opportunity to receive support for your show season while helping to spread the word about the incredible Standardbred breed. Please note that for this sponsorship, your Standardbred must be registered and have an identification number.
